Oversized Sweaters and Guilty Pleasures.

I may or may not be writing this post at 2 in the morning whilst feeling a tad bit guilty for purchasing more dresses than I actually need, or will ever wear. In my defense, they were in the sale department. Well, most of them.

While browsing ASOS and Nasty Gal on the quest to find a couple nice tops, I realized that pretty much every single top was cropped. And my question is: why? Why is every single top on this planet cropped? Is it really necessary, or can humanity go back to making tops that are suitable for those of us who are strongly opposed to the idea of crunches (and really any kind of exercises that may make my abs feel as though they are burning)?

I'm wearing an H&M sweater, Zara trousers, Bershka loafers, and a Forever21 bag

You may be asking yourself why I'm crossing my arms in every. single. photo. Well, the answer is pretty simple- I have no idea on what I should be doing with my arms whenever I'm being photographed. Whenever I try to do anything other than crossing them, I fail. Same thing goes for the rest of my body really. Should I lean on one foot? Should I stand as I usually do? Should I smile? Should I show teeth? Should I look directly at the camera? Should I just quit this before it drives me insane and find myself a hobby that doesn't make me so anxious? Seeing as how everything makes me anxious, the last question isn't very relevant for this lifetime.

Love, Alona

  2. I love this outfit, so laid back and chill. I'm also a little bit in love with your editing, how on earth do you do that?! (And your blog design... it really is beautiful) I agree with the whole crop top thing, more often than not I want something slouchy and comfortable that I can curl up easily in. xx

  3. I felt that way towards crop tops for a while. But after finding it impossible to find normal tops, I started to embrace the crops. But still, they aren't appropriate for all occasions or weather, so it's so annoying that they are all that is available. I feel so awkward with my arms in pics too. I have like 4 standard poses that I alternate from because they're so easy.

  4. Love love love the tote bag! Totally understand the struggles of posing in front of the camera. I try to look serious in an artistic way but always end up looking extremely mad at the world and it's not attractive. AT ALL
